BD Testing applies accredited procedures for snow performance and ice performance testing according to the Unece regulation R117. Our scope of accredited services is listed on the FINAS website. These tests will confirm that the tire fulfills its type approval requirements.

Ice grip performance

ISO 19477 ice grip performance for testing studded and studless winter tires on ice.

The international standard specifies the method for measuring relative ice grip performance index of a candidate tire compared to a reference, under loaded conditions for new tires intended to be used on passenger car on an ice surface.

Snow performance

Snow performance approval according to R117 for car, van and truck tires.
